Your baby is adding the final layers of fat for temperature regulation. The chest is prominent. Most of the vernix is gone. The placenta continues to provide antibodies. Baby is ready.

Your Body This Week

You may feel a mix of impatience and anxiety. Braxton Hicks can be very strong. Diarrhea or loose stools may indicate labor is approaching. Difficulty sleeping is very common.

Good to Do Now

Try to relax and enjoy these last days. Take photos of your belly. Spend quality time with your partner. Let people know you will reach out when the time comes.
