Your Baby This Week

This is your due date week, but only about 5% of babies arrive exactly on their due date. Your baby is fully developed and ready for life outside. They will continue to grow and gain weight until delivery.

Your Body This Week

You may feel every possible pregnancy symptom at once. Watch for labor signs: regular contractions, water breaking, bloody show. Some women feel calm; some feel very restless.

Good to Do Now

If you go past your due date, do not worry. Your provider will monitor you closely. Most providers recommend induction by 41-42 weeks. You have done an incredible job growing this baby. Trust the process.

Line up your after care now: a lactation consultant and a postpartum doula are the two calls new parents are gladdest they made early.
