Your Baby This Week

Movements are becoming more coordinated. Your baby has regular sleep and wake cycles. Bone marrow is now helping to produce blood cells. Eyebrows and eyelids are fully formed.

Your Body This Week

You may feel Braxton Hicks contractions (practice contractions). Spider veins or varicose veins may appear. Appetite is strong.

Good to Do Now

Learn the difference between Braxton Hicks and real contractions. Start researching pediatricians. If applicable, begin exploring childcare options.

The second trimester is prime time to meet birth doulas. Interview two or three while calendars are still open.
